About
One person.
The whole picture.
My whole life I have been fixing things and building things. I am the person friends and family call when something breaks. I've swapped light fixtures and toilets, troubleshot appliances, set up property-wide Wi-Fi on a working farm, and configured smart home systems. There's not much I haven't seen.
I spent nine years in broadcast television, where the work was equal parts physical and technical. I pulled cable, built out equipment racks, soldered, wired, and handled field installations. I also managed servers, troubleshot networks, and kept complex systems running on a deadline. If something broke, I fixed it, usually while someone was counting down in my ear.
Before that, I was on a tower construction crew, digging footings, pouring concrete, and hauling steel. I also worked on a farm, bucking hay and doing whatever else needed doing. It wasn't glamorous, but you learn a lot about hard work and showing up when it's hot out.
